As &#8220;Bourgondische Brabanders,&#8221; that is something you can certainly entrust to us, Carlo and Ronald. &#8220;Changing course&#8221; is an old concept for us, as more than 25 years ago we already said to each other: &#8220;one day&#8230;&#8221; In 2006, we took the plunge and decided we shouldn&#8217;t wait any longer until we were &#8220;older.&#8221; In<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/casadoncarlos.com\/fotoalbums\/alhaurin-el-grande-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alhaur\u00edn el Grande<\/a> <\/strong>(Malaga), we found a location that perfectly met our ideas for our Bed &amp; Breakfast Casa Don Carlos.   <\/p>\n<p>We have had the pleasure of saying goodbye to many satisfied guests from various countries at Bed &amp; Breakfast Casa Don Carlos, some for the second, third, and even tenth time. Between <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/casadoncarlos.com\/en\/10-jaar-thuis-zon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">May 2006 and the present<\/a> <\/strong>much has changed in and around our B&amp;B. The difference will be especially large for our first guests from 2006 and 2007. There has been a total transformation around the front garden, the terrace, and the pool, and even in the rooms. It is hard to believe that everything grows so fast in Andalusia![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;continuation of &quot;change of course&quot; story&#8230;&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Every year we try to further perfect our surroundings and house, such as by building a Jeu de Boules court, renewing the garden around the pool, the lounge area in the outdoor kitchen, the luxury double room, renewing the bathrooms at the front of the house, and much more. Recently, in the spring of 2024, we also renovated the area around the swimming pool. Unfortunately, the grass has disappeared, but we now use much less water. We have also had solar panels since May 2023. With these investments, we try to contribute to a more sustainable environment.    <\/p>\n<p>After taking over GSheaven in 2009, we eventually sold the motorcycle rental company again in the spring of 2014 after more than 5 successful years. This does not mean we are stopping the unique combination of motorcycle rental and overnight stays in <strong>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/casadoncarlos.com\/activiteiten\/motor-arrangementen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bed, Breakfast, Bike &amp; Ride<\/a>\u201d<\/strong> packages; just take a look further on our website.<\/p>\n<p>At the very end of 2019, we became the owners of a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rentals.rems-group.com\/listings\/200938\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">6-person apartment in the heart of M\u00e1laga city<\/a><\/strong>; we rent out this apartment through an organization called <strong>REMS<\/strong>, which gives us the time to devote all our attention to our guests in the Bed &amp; Breakfast.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][\/vc_accordion][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]We are very proud that in 2023 we received the international<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.nl\/TravelersChoice-Hotels-cInnsBB-g187427\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TripAdvisor Travellers\u2019 Choice Award<\/a> <\/strong>for the 7th time, after 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022, plus the<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zoover.nl\/spanje\/andalusie-costa-del-sol-de-la-luz\/alhaurin-el-grande\/casa-don-carlos\/bed-and-breakfast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Zoover Gold Award<\/a><\/strong> in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021. We are very grateful to all the guests who took the time to write a review.
